Confirmed: New Blade Runner Will Be a Sequel

Yesterday I reported that Ridley Scott announced the lead in the new Blade Runner movie will be a female. However, we still didn’t know if the movie would be a prequel or a sequel.

Today, WahsingtonPost reports that Alcon Entertainment has announced that the new “Blade Runner” film will officially be a sequel and take place “some years after the first film concluded,” according to the release. (remember that “Blade Runner” takes place in Los Angeles in November 2019.)

Editor’s Note: You will probably read other sources claiming that Harrison Ford is not involved in the movie. The truth is that it is too early to say who is going to be in the movie, actually, no other actor/actress is involved in the project yet.
