First Trailer and Teaser Poster for ’42′ Revealed!

The first trailer and teaser poster for director Brian Helgeland’s Jackie Robinson biopic, 42, has gone online. Where the trailer quickly distances itself is in the film’s fearless to take on race relations, a central part to Robinson’s rise to fame in the sports world. We also witness a very interesting transformation in our favorite actor.

42 stars Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford, with Christopher Meloni, Jon Bernthal, Alan Tudyk and John C. McGinley, and opens April 12th, 2013. Watch the trailer here and tell me if you spot Harrison Ford the first time!

Here’s the official synopsis for 42:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are teaming up with director Brian Helgeland for “42,” the powerful story of Jackie Robinson, the legendary baseball player who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers. “42? will star Academy Award(R) nominee Harrison Ford (“Witness”) as the innovative Dodger’s general manager Branch Rickey, the MLB executive who first signed Robinson to the minors and then helped to bring him up to the show, and Chadwick Boseman (“The Express”) as Robinson, the heroic African American who was the first man to break the color line in the big leagues.

Editor’s Note: Want to compare with the real Branch Rickey?
