“Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it… I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story.”
Oh my God, oh my God!! Excuse me, I’m fangirling like a boss right now. Han Solo, Indiana Jones AND Rick Deckard may return? I know it has been said before but it is a lot more exciting to hear it from DA MAN himself.

Even with Ridley Scott back in the director’s chair and original writer Hampton Fancher on script duty, the idea of a Blade Runner sequel caused more trepidation than word that replicants were running loose for most fans. News that Green Lantern co-writer Michael Green is being brought aboard to work on a new draft may not help matters.
Of course, it’s far to early to judge a film when no one has seen so much as a piece of concept art, let alone a trailer, and things are still at a very early stage on this one. While Scott has talked about his vision for certain scenes, no plot details have leaked yet beyond the basic idea that it will be set a few years after the 1982 original and we don’t know whether Harrison Ford will be involved in any capacity.
In addition to work on Lantern, Green has also contributed to the unproduced Flash film and The Fantastic Four, and he most recently worked on Robopocalypse’s screenplay with Steven Spielberg – which should give us some confidence. He also did at least one draft of Moses project Gods And Kings, so let’s hope he can do justice to the original film.
Some of the most accomplished actors in Hollywood stepped out for the AFI Night at the Movies Wednesday at the ArcLight in Hollywood. The screening of classic films across all genres returned from it’s five-year hiatus, with stars including Cher, Kevin Spacey, Sally Field, Kathy Bates, Samuel L. Jackson and Mike Meyers saying a few words about the films that helped shape their careers.

Harrison Ford is currently experiencing a new excellent phase in his career. The actor, who turned 70 last year and whose new movie, “42,” comes out next month, has found himself in high demand to reprise his iconic roles of Han Solo, Indiana Jones and Rick Deckard in three different sequels. In other words, this feels like 1980 again!

Although the timeline of Prometheus and Blade Runner are separated by seventy years, an Easter Egg on Prometheus Blu-Ray suggests the stories take place in the same world. The special feature reveals a few lines of text written by Peter Weyland (the elderly CEO of Weyland Corporation that funds the expedition aboard the scientific vessel Prometheus).
